In episode 5 there’s a point where Athelstan, um, jumps off of a boat to save Ragnar’s life once he’s fallen off the cliff and uh, as the way it is with jumping into water, you get wet, so you have one chance at getting it right. […] I go for this dive, my foot slips completely on the boat and I don’t go anywhere, I pretty much stumble off and do a big belly flop. Everyone cracks up laughing, I come up from underneath the water and the whole crew has lost it, they’re just in hysterics and I don’t hear the end of it for about 3 weeks. - George Blagden answers ‘what is the funniest thing that happened behind the scenes and what is the most embarrassing thing?’
